we now return to our regularly scheduled programming
so amy totally called it: last night’s csi was indeed written by jerry stahl. and she’s right, who else would write a murder-mystery set in the world of plushies? jerry has this knack for being completely morbid and riotously funny at the same time that nearly nobody can match, though warren ellis give him a run for his money every now and again. if you haven’t read permanent midnight yet, drop everything and do so now. between fitful bouts of laughter at what jerry had wrought on the cop show last evening, I kept turning to amy and saying, “you know your parents are watching this, right?” which somehow made it even funnier and more disturbing at the same time.
god, I love television. (sorry for the steal, wm., let’s just call it an homage, eh? and loath as I am to admit it, for the first time ever, survivor’s got me sort of hooked, though only until rupert aka sweetums aka hagrid is kicked off, at which point there’ll be no point in watching them folks weasel around and starve. and there’s no way he’ll make it to the end, he’s just too strong. sorry, I’ll try to give it up, but for now I just need my fix. i said I NEED IT, all right, leave me alone!
