in case there was in doubt, I am super stoked for sin city. frank miller+robert rodriguez=LOVE (not to mention tarantino, willis, clive owen, rosario dawson and the rest of the cast). ifilm’s got a bunch of clips and interviews for the movie, and yahoo has a 10-minute behind the scenes featurette that actually talks to sweet ole’ frank. i can’t wait to see what rodriguez does with his digital funhouse this go-round.
part of me can’t believe this thing got made– i’ve been reading the books for nearly ten years now, and miller said he’d never let a movie be made. according to rodriguez, his goal was not to turn the books into a movie, but rather make the movie into the books as much as possible. which means, for those of you who have never visited the town before, you’re in for a hell of a ride. and for those of us that know and love it, our fingers are crossed that robert got even close to the magic of the novels.
