a smashing success, if i do say so myself, barring the near-death experience on the way home (you try driving perpendicular to traffic on the freeway at 75 miles an hour without getting hit and without pissing yourself and we’ll talk). needless to say, if you want to see us any time soon, you’ll have to visit us, as amy+highway=impossible at the moment.
but no more of that, back to happier things: amy and i are now bonafide and legalized and such, and we have a bunch of stuff to put away (man, but people are generous at weddings– i think amy and i should have a row every five years or so just so we can get re-married and re-gifted… or do you think people would catch on after the third or fourth go-round?).
the first round of embarrassing pictures is below, with more to come as digital files are passed around and real film is developed– don’t worry, there was a professional on-site, and eventually those pics will surface as well.
our thanks to everyone who came and/or expressed their good wishes to us in any form along the way– it is very much appreciated and pretty humbling to realize we know so many good people who genuinely think so well of us. and special thanks to the reverend (loved her license plate, TH REV), the caterers (highly recommended if you ever have an event in the seattle area), and most especially our parents for pulling everything off with grace and aplomb.
and yes, i shaved for the event. and before you ask, no, it won’t ever happen again.
