he was a cowboy– not in the bull-roping sense of the word, but in the straight-talking/shooting/walking way.

he taught me the best expression ever: “i gotta piss so bad my back teeth are floating.” *and its variant “i gotta piss so bad i can taste it.”
he had the best handlebar mustache i’ve ever seen.
he always had chocolate milk in the house. we used to stay up late playing acey-deucey and drinking chocolate milk even though i had to go to school the next day.
he was the first adult i heard swear on a regular basis.
he rode motorcycles and carried a loaded gun in his truck.
he was badass and tough and cool like nobody’s business.
one of a kind and the last of a good breed.
