yeah, so it’s been a while since I’ve posted and now I owe both a 20- and 21-month post to the budge, but, well, there have been some extenuating circumstances.

See, we went on vacation last week and this is what happened:

which, I admit, doesn’t look too bad, but seeing as the back axle was bent, the car was totaled. which means we spent the second half of our vacation (and beyond, as nothing is settled yet) wrangling with insurance companies and rental cars and general frustration, all of which has made for a not so fun time.

And then my body decided that the best way to deal with my stress from this whole situation was to basically break down slowly. So last week’s sore throat/cough combo is slowly fading, only to be replaced by a case of pinkeye, and who knows what’s next. Amy’s sick now, too, and we’ve just got our fingers crossed that Archer remains the least ill of us all.

So, yeah, there’s that. Posting to resume once some of this stuff is resolved. But here’s a great pic of the budge on his new favorite thing (thanks, cousins!), which he signs for constantly:
