A brief hiatus

I had to take a break for a few days just to take some deep breaths and realize that the world’s not going to come to a screeching halt just because McCain’s had some good poll numbers over the last few days. I’ll be back as soon as I can write about any of this stuff without devolving into random bursts of cursing — if they diagnosed people with blog Tourette’s, I’m sure I’d pass with flying — shitpiss — colors. I’m mulling over what is sure to be a huge post about abortion and morality and such as soon as I can wrap my head around everything I want to say.

If you’re looking for better things than my little internet wedge to read and are interested in how the rest of my growing T21 community is reacting to Palin-mania (I may not like what I see from that lady, but I have to give her some credit for naming her kid Trig Paxson Van Palin), you should be reading Lovely and Amazing, whose wit and wisdom about all this stuff far surpasses my own. She’s written some fantastically well thought out ruminations on Palin in general and how just having her out there with a kid with DS may or may not affect the visibility of the larger DS community.
